Question #3: What is the Leapfrog 1/2 marathon race?
Answer: The Leapfrog race involves a team of two people that share one bike. The race starts with one team member riding and the other running and everyone takes off at the same time. Obviously the person riding the bike will go faster so at some point in the race they must drop the bike and take off running. Their partner will eventually find the bike and will then ride the bike past (leapfrog) their partner. The new rider will drop the bike at some point and take off running again. The person running who was the first rider will get on the bike again and leapfrog their partner. The process repeats as many times as necessary to complete the course. We do not stipulate where or when the bike drops will happen. The only rule is both racers must ride and run at least once each. The time stops for the team when both racers are across the finish line.
